Kareem Hills, Co-Director of TKO Dance Academy, is an accomplished dancer, award-winning choreographer, educator, and adjudicator with more than 34 years of experience in the dance industry. Trained in Tap, Jazz, Ballet, and Hip-Hop, Kareem has built a respected career defined by artistry, versatility, musicality, and excellence in dance education.
As a performer, Kareem earned six individual dance titles along with numerous prestigious honors, including the Triple Threat Award, the Savion Glover Award, and the Perfect Eulogy Award for his tribute to the legendary Gregory Hines. He also had the opportunity to perform in the iconic Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
For more than 25 years, Kareem has established himself as a highly regarded and sought-after choreographer. His work has earned numerous overall high-score and specialty honors, including Best in Tap, the Excalibur Award, the Premier Cup, Victory Cup honors, and the prestigious World Dance Championship Cup.
Kareem is also recognized for creating title-winning solos and developing competitive soloists across multiple age divisions. His choreography is designed to highlight each dancer’s individual strengths while combining strong technique, musicality, and performance quality, resulting in numerous titles and overall placements.
In 2005, Kareem was selected to join Silent Fire Productions, a nonprofit dance organization that expanded his performance experience while giving him additional opportunities to share his passion for dance with young artists.
For the past decade, Kareem has also been a sought-after dance adjudicator, judging competitions throughout the United States. His experience as a performer, choreographer, educator, and judge gives him a well-rounded perspective on both the artistic and technical aspects of dance.
At TKO Dance Academy, Kareem brings decades of experience, competitive success, and artistic leadership to the next generation of dancers. Through his choreography, mentorship, and direction, he remains committed to developing confident, versatile, technically strong performers while upholding the high standards and competitive excellence for which TKO Dance Academy is known.
Tommy Tibball, Co-Director of TKO Dance Academy, is an accomplished dancer, award-winning choreographer, educator, and adjudicator with more than 28 years of experience in the dance industry. A graduate of Frank Sinatra School of the Arts, where he majored in dance, Tommy is extensively trained in Contemporary, Lyrical, Jazz, Ballet, and Hip-Hop.
As a performer, Tommy earned numerous dance titles, top overall soloist honors, and distinguished recognition for his artistry and technical ability. During his senior year of high school, he was named a YoungArts winner and received national recognition as the top jazz dancer in New York State. His performance career also included opportunities to work with American Ballet Theatre and perform at the Metropolitan Opera House in New York City.
Tommy was also featured on the hit television series So You Think You Can Dance, where he advanced to Las Vegas as one of the top 50 dancers in the competition.
As a choreographer, Tommy has established himself as a highly respected and sought-after creative voice, with his work recognized throughout the United States. His choreography has earned numerous overall high-score, specialty, and championship honors, including Best in Contemporary, Best Choreography, the Excalibur Award, the Premier Cup, Victory Cup titles, and the prestigious World Dance Championship Cup.
Known for his distinctive artistic vision and ability to bring out the strongest qualities in each dancer, Tommy continues to create award-winning choreography for both groups and soloists on the regional and national competitive stage.
For more than 11 years, Tommy has also been a sought-after dance adjudicator, judging competitions throughout the United States. His extensive experience as a performer, choreographer, educator, and judge gives him a comprehensive understanding of both the technical and artistic demands of dance.
At TKO Dance Academy, Tommy brings his experience, creativity, and leadership to the development of the next generation of dancers. Through his choreography, mentorship, and direction, he remains committed to developing technically strong, versatile, confident, and expressive performers while upholding the high standards of excellence associated with TKO Dance Academy.
